Good Day,
This morning I recorded an increase of 5 points to 111 mg/dL to my early morning blood sugar count.
Appointments all day and running late for supper.
A quick go-to and pick up at Pepo’s Café in Northdale.
Supper – Bourbon Chicken, Black Beans and White Rice, Yuca, and Plantains. Pepo’s always provides a tremendous amount of food, and I always hear the instructions to clean my plate.
And I will always return to Pepo's...
Bourbon Chicken. Carb count ≈ 26 grams.
Black Beans and White Rice. Carb count ≈ 90 grams.
Boiled Yucca in Garlic Sauce. Carb count ≈ 47 grams.

Tune in tomorrow to Jim’s Gotta Eat to see the comparison of the results...and the set up a new Supper Showdown.
Food for thought – Try not to eat too late in the evening. Manage the amount of food that I eat. Do not over eat because my eyes see good food.
I am trying to control my diabetes with exercise and food. I have eliminated all diabetes medication. I am keeping my weight stable, and Jim's gotta eat.
Enjoy.
Jim
